A motorist has suffered serious injuries after a two-car crash in St Johns, Auckland, this afternoon.
Firefighters had to free the injured person after the incident on Felton Mathew Avenue about 3.30pm.
The road has been closed as emergency services work to clear the wreckage and police gather evidence from the scene.
Motorists are advised to take alternative routes.
