Three people were seriously injured, one seriously, in a crash near Kumeu last night.
The single-car crash occurred on State Highway 16 just south of the township north of Auckland shortly before midnight, a Fire Service spokesman said.
One person was trapped in the vehicle and had to be freed by emergency services.
A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said one person suffered serious injures and two others moderate injuries.
They were being treated at the scene and would be transported to North Shore Hospital, she said.
