A person has been freed from their car following a crash on Tom Pearce Drive near Auckland Airport this afternoon.
The two-car crash happened around 5.20pm at the intersection of Tahinga Lane, near the airport's long-term car park.
Firefighters were working to free the trapped person from their car, a Fire and Emergency NZ spokesman said.
Auckland Transport said the crash was causing traffic delays in the area and warned people to allow extra time to get to the international terminal.
The crash has now been cleared from Tom Pearce Drive but delays are still expected as congestion clears.
