A serial Christchurch child-stalker has today admitted approaching two youngsters and scaring them in a breach of her release conditions.
Margaret Dodds, subject to "the most extensive list of trespass notices in Christchurch" - including buses, community centres, schools, playgrounds and parks - approached the two children aged 6 and 11 at a cafe inside Christchurch's Princess Margaret Hospital, where she is a voluntary patient at its Seager Clinic, on February 4.
The children's mother said they were "upset and distressed" by the encounter, Christchurch District Court heard today.
Police were called and Dodds was charged with breaching release conditions to not associate with anyone aged under 16, imposed after her release from prison last September after serving a a six month sentence for assaulting a 10-year-old girl.
The 58-year old woman, who has an extensive history of menacing schoolchildren, today admitted the breach.
