KEY POINTS:
The man who murdered Tokoroa school teacher Lois Dear had his sentencing delayed today.
Twenty-three-year-old Whetu Te Hiko will appear in the High Court at Hamilton on May 18.
He pleaded guilty in February to attacking Ms Dear then smothering her to death in her classroom at Strathmore Primary School.
Te Hiko was trying to steal her car when the 66-year-old threatened to call police last July.
He then followed her into the classroom where he killed her.
