A senior member of the Head Hunters gang has been charged with possession of methamphetamine for supply after police searched the gang's headquarters in Henderson yesterday morning.
Police said this afternoon the 59-year-old man will appear in the Auckland District Court tomorrow morning. He was not found during the search, but he later went to Auckland Central police station.
The charges are related to an earlier police search of a motel in the Christchurch suburb of Sockburn early last month.
"Police will continue to target organised crime groups in the fight against the supply and distribution of methamphetamine throughout New Zealand."
