A "disturbed'' man clad only in his underwear has been pulled down from the roof of a pedestrian bridge next to Auckland's SkyCity convention centre this afternoon, police say.
Emergency services were called to the scene about 2.50 pm after reports of a man on the top of a pedestrian overbridge across Federal Street.
The street was closed for about 40 minutes while the man, described by police as disturbed, was removed from the roof.
The 27-year-old man, dressed only in his underwear, was helped down by the Fire Service and taken into custody.
