A security guard was robbed by two men armed with a knife in the Auckland suburb of Point England today.
Police said the Armourguard Security guard had just collected money when one of the robbers held the knife against his throat and demanded money.
"The guard was not injured and an undisclosed amount of money was taken," said Inspector Scott Webb from the police Northern Communications Centre in Auckland.
The two robbers were both Pacific Islanders in their early 20s.
Both were solidly built with dark hair and bandanas covering their faces.
They fled in a blue station wagon towards Panmure roundabout but swapped it for a silver station wagon, with tinted rear windows, and roof rack.
