A second teenager has pleaded guilty to the rape and aggravated robbery of a female Asian tourist in Opotiki.
The 16-year-old pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful sexual connection, rape, and aggravated robbery when he appeared in Whakatane Youth court.
Judge Peter Rollo remanded him in custody for sentencing in Whakatane District Court on November 13.
Youth Court restrictions prevent his identification.
His 17-year-old co-accused, Ranginui Rahi, was convicted of the same charges earlier and is due to be sentenced in Whakatane District Court on November 18.
Police said the two teenagers forced their way into the victim's home on August 31 and sexually violated her.
They were arrested two days later.
