Police have confirmed another murder charge will be laid against the man arrested for the weekend hit and run incident in the Auckland suburb of Pakuranga.
The 24-year-old appeared in court on Monday charged with killing Melissa Viall.
Police say the accused will be charged with murdering 19-year-old Kane Wright at his next court appearance at the end of November.
Additional charges relating to the assault on two other people left hospitalised after the incident are also pending.
