A second man has been arrested and charged with manslaughter over the death of 52-year-old man in Taita last month.
A homicide investigation was launched after Michael James Mulholland was found unconscious in a Farmer Crescent driveway by a friend on September 20.
Friends and emergency workers tried to revive him but he died at the scene.
Operation Field inquiry head Detective Inspector Darrin Thomson said a 31-year-old Paraparaumu man will appear in the Lower Hutt District Court later today.
A 30-year-old Lower Hutt man was also yesterday charged with manslaughter in connection to the death and was remanded in custody without plea.
