Gisborne Police have arrested and charged a second gang member with murder, in relation to a fatal fight outside a city nightclub this week.
They say they are still looking for another man.
CIB staff went to an address in the city in the early hours of this morning and took a 24-year-old gang member from his bed.
He has been arrested on a charge of murdering 32-year-old rival gang member Anton Newcomb.
The arrested man is due in court this morning, and it is expected he will be remanded in continuing custody.
A CIB spokesman says they are still looking for a third man in connection with the death.
Police have not yet released details of the post-mortem examination which established the exact cause of Mr Newcomb's death.
A 23-year-old gang member appeared in court yesterday afternoon charged with murder, and will remain in custody until August 24.
Meanwhile a 37-year-old woman charged with actively suppressing evidence to help one of the accused, remains in custody and will make a bail application on Monday.
