A second man has been arrested following a violent brawl in south Auckland at the weekend.
The 21-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and will appear in the Papakura District Court on Tuesday.
Royce Grace, also 21, appeared in Papakura District Court this morning facing the same charge. He is due to reappear in court in January.
Following the brawl, the injuries of a 30-year-old male victim were so serious that police who found him in Papakura on Saturday night initially thought he had been stabbed in the head.
The man was found unconscious and suffering from severe head injuries. He was taken to hospital where he had surgery.
