Second Lotto multi-millionaire in two weeks

For the second week in a row, a lucky punter has become a multi-millionaire after winning $4.3 million with a Powerball ticket.

The ticket, which was sold online, was bought in Wanganui, Lotto New Zealand's head of corporate communications Emilia Mazur said.

The total prize was made up of $4 million from Powerball First Division and $333,333 from Lotto First Division.

"This win comes just one week after a family from Hokitika won $6.5 million with Powerball," Ms Mazur said.

"There's no denying that 2015 has been a remarkably lucky year for Lotto players, with five major jackpots already being won this year."

There were also two other Lotto First Division winners last night, each winning $333,333. The winning Lotto tickets were sold at Pak N Save Silverdale in Silverdale and Kaiapoi New World in Kaiapoi.

Strike Four had jackpotted and will be worth $200,000 in next week's draw.

Also last night, Richard from Rakaia spun and won $500,000 with the Winning Wheel on the live Lotto draw.

This week's Winning Wheel ticket was sold at Paper Plus Otorohanga in Otorohanga. The winning serial number was 449-46459136-20XX.

Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at mylotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ ticket-checker smartphone app, Ms Mazur said.
