It was more of the same when Wairarapa United scored a 3-0 win over Tawa in their central league football match at Tawa on Saturday.
Wairarapa United have opened up a clear three point lead on the points table through securing four wins and a draw from their five games.
But as has been the case for most of the season, the second half was much better than the first.
The opening 45 minutes ended with Wairarapa United 1-0 ahead, but according to coach Phil Keinzley their execution was nowhere near as clinical as it should have been.
"We gave away too much possession by forcing passes rather than being patient and weighing up the options," Keinzley said. "We weren't structured enough, we struggled to get continuity into our attacks."
