KEY POINTS:
A second confidential document from the Department of Corrections has been found on an Auckland street, following a near identical incident a fortnight ago.
The document listed personal details of 22 people under night curfews who were required to wear ankle bracelets.
Auckland woman Yvonne Kiel told TV3 News she was handed the papers by her neighbour after they spotted her son's name on the list.
As there was no letterhead on the document, a copy was sent to Corrections to find the source.
The department said it had launched inquiries to establish whether it had a role "in the current situation" but, because of the nature of those inquiries, could not comment further.
Last month a confidential dossier with the names, addresses and other details of some of the country's most notorious paroled criminals was picked up off an Auckland street by a former Corrections Department employee.
On Wednesday Corrections chief executive Barry Matthews revealed the staff member responsible for losing the dossier had been suspended.
The original document had been returned and the department had also moved to ensure any other copies had been destroyed or returned.
