A second arrest has been made in connection to the aggravated robbery of the Irvine St dairy where a dairy owner lost an eye.
Ajit Farrar was in his Irvine St, Hamilton, dairy about 12.45pm on November 27 when four men wearing hoods and masks ran in and assaulted him.
Farrar became involved in a scuffle with one of the men after he was punched in the eye and then he tried to wrestle a knife off him.
The 58-year-old needed surgery for a prosthetic eye to be inserted. He also suffered hand injuries in the incident.
Detective Sergeant Scott Neilson said an 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged with party to wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, demands with menace, assaults police and resisting arrest.
