Police say they have made a second arrest in connection with the gang-related shooting on a service station forecourt in Wairoa, northern Hawke's Bay, more than nine months ago.
A 20-year-old man from Raupunga, 38km southwest of Wairoa, was arrested and charged with attempted murder, Gisborne police said today.
The man was due to appear in Hastings District Court today.
Last month a 23-year-old Napier man was arrested in relation to the shooting and charged with being a party to attempted murder.
A Mongrel Mob member was shot at the Mobil Service Station in Wairoa on October 29, the shooting believed to have been committed by Black Power in retaliation for an earlier shooting.
