Police have arrested a second man over a gang-related shooting in the northern Hawke's Bay town of Wairoa on Thursday night.
A 20-year-old gang member remains in hospital after being shot in the face during a fracas in a residential street about 10pm. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Scott, of Gisborne police, said a 26-year-old gang member was arrested last night.
He will appear in Gisborne District Court tomorrow charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm with the use of a firearm.
Police on Friday arrested a gang member in his 40s, who was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Six arrests not directly related to the shooting were also made on Friday.
Meanwhile, police have arrested a man over a gang fight yesterday which left four men hospitalised.
About nine Black Power and Mongrel Mob members were involved in the fracas in the port area of Gisborne, Mr Scott said.
Three men were admitted to hospital with severe lacerations to their bodies, while a fourth man was airlifted to Waikato Hospital with serious facial injuries.
A 17-year-old man will appear in court tomorrow charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
