Police have made a second arrest after an alleged firearms incident outside an Auckland hospital.
An investigation into the incident at Middlemore Hospital has been ongoing since January 4, when a gun was allegedly fired from a vehicle in the hospital’s carpark. No one was injured in the incident.
Detective Inspector Shaun Vickers said the Counties Manukau Offender Prevention Team executed a search warrant in South Auckland late last week, leading to the arrest of a second man.
“At a Manurewa address, a 23-year-old man was located by our staff and arrested,” Vickers said.
