KEY POINTS:
A Whakatane youth charged with murder has made a second court appearance.
The 15-year-old was charged following the death of a 17-year-old who was allegedly stabbed at a Whakatane home on November 22.
During yesterday's brief appearance before a packed gallery of family, Judge Peter Rollo remanded the youth until December 15 for a pre-depositions hearing in the Whakatane Youth Court.
The youth is to remain in a Child, Youth and Family secure facility until then.
No plea was entered by the youth's lawyer, Roger Gowing.
