Searchers find woman's shoes

A beanie and shoes have been found on rocks north of Auckland near where a Chinese student is thought to have been swept into the water.

Searchers yesterday failed to find Yue Gui, 30, also known as Alice, who disappeared near the Goat Island Marine Reserve on Sunday.

Sergeant Bede Haughey of Warkworth police told the Herald the items had been positively identified as hers.
