The family and friends of the tramper whose body was found in the South Island's Kahurangi National Park yesterday have thanked search teams for their intensive search efforts.
Steve Thornborrow, 51, of Mapua, near Nelson, was last seen near a hut in the Mt Arthur area on Tuesday.
