Police have suspended the search for a diver missing in Dunedin tonight.
A search was initiated after a free diver failed to surface near Gull Rocks at Sandfly Bay on the Otago Peninsula this evening.
It appears the person may have been diving from an IRB.
The alarm was raised just before 7pm.
Coastguard, police and the Otago Regional Rescue Helicopter are involved in the search.
