Police have resumed their search for a Waikato farmer missing in the Far North since last month.
Amanjeet Bains, 29, was last seen at his Morrinsville home on April 18 at about 12.30pm, Detective Sergeant Rod Carpinter said.
Police understood Mr Bains travelled to Auckland that afternoon, and continued on to Orewa, where he bought alcohol from a liquor store before travelling to Warkworth.
"He filled up his Holden Commodore there before dining at a Warkworth restaurant about 8.30pm," Mr Carpinter said.
Mr Bains' vehicle was spotted parked in a secluded rural area near Totara North, on the Whangaroa Harbour, north of Kaeo at 8am on April 19, about 10km from State Highway 10.
Police were notified about the vehicle the following Friday on April 23.
Mr Carpinter said police have been searching for Mr Bains since he was reported missing on April 18.
The search was moved to Northland, near Kerikeri, following the discovery of his vehicle.
Police have searched the area four times already, while family carried out air and sea searches with the assistance of Far North Search and Rescue members.
The search resumes tomorrow.
"It would be fair to say that the longer Mr Bains remains unaccounted for, the graver our concerns are for his well being." Mr Carpenter said.
He appealed for sightings of the blue Commodore, registration number ELW514 in the Northland area and for anyone who may have had contact with the father of two since his disappearance.
