KEY POINTS:
The search resumed this morning for a man missing on the West Coast after his Canadian canoe capsized on the Grey River.
Four others, a adult and three children, made it to shore just after 1pm yesterday but the man, aged 32, remains missing despite a search by jet boats, rescue helicopter, police, local fire volunteers and the coastguard from Greymouth and Lake Brunner.
It appeared the man was not wearing a life jacket. All the children were wearing life jackets.
Police said they would not release the missing man's details until all next-of-kin had been informed.
