KEY POINTS:
Police have asked for public assistance in finding a 10-year-old boy who failed to return home after school in Lower Hutt today.
The boy is a student at Avalon Primary School and was expected home at 4pm.
The boy is African, 1.4m tall, of slim build, and last seen wearing a white and brown hoodie with brown pants. He has short black hair cut in an afro style.
