Search launched for missing 68-year-old

Police are searching for a 68-year-old man missing overnight in the New Lynn area of west Auckland.

The Sri Lankan man has been missing since midday yesterday after going for a walk from a Links Road address.

He is described as wearing a blue t-shirt and cream coloured pants.

He is of solid build with grey balding hair and is 5ft 10inches tall. He has some memory loss.

Police and search and rescue staff are carrying out a search in the area. Any sightings by members of the public please phone Auckland police.
