The search for a missing Auckland man who disappeared off a Northland beach continued today.
Alexy Ivanov, 34, who is presumed drowned, was last seen entering the water at Uretiti beach about 5pm on Wednesday (13/3). Police today continued searching the coastline and the Navy was called in to assist with a sonar search of the water.
Department of Conservation staff at a campground alerted police on Wednesday after noticing Mr Ivanov's clothing and car had not been touched for an hour.
