Search for man missing in bush for two days

Police and search and rescue volunteers are looking for a man missing in bush for two days.

Stephen Jensen, 47, of Howick went into bush between Waihi and Paeroa and was reported missing by his family on Monday.

Sergeant Dave Litton said anyone who had seen Mr Jensen should contact police.

"His car was found by friends about 5pm yesterday at the start of a series of walking tracks leading from the end of Taiari Rd. This area backs onto Karangahake Gorge and walking tracks leading to Mt Te Aroha," Mr Litton said.

He said anyone with information should call Mr Litton on 07 863 8179.
