West Auckland police are looking for a woman who left the scene after a five-year-old was stuck and injured.
The girl was hit by a vehicle on Vodanovich Rd in Te Atatu South. She is seriously ill in Auckland City Hospital.
Police want to hear from the driver of a grey or cream BMW, which may have a broken front indicator. The female driver is believed to have gone back to the scene when the child was struck and then left.
