Search continues for missing woman

A search continued today for a 32-year-old woman missing near Rotorua's Lake Tikitapu, or Blue Lake.

There are fears for the woman's well being. Her silver Toyota Echo car was found near the lake yesterday but a search into the night did not find her, said Detective Sergeant John Wilson of Rotorua police.

'We've had searches on the ground since 7am today, but there is no reason to believe there has been any foul play," Mr Wilson said.

Police, the Rotorua Lakes Volunteer Coastguard and other volunteers including a dive team are involved in the search.
