A search has resumed this morning for a missing fisherman who has not been seen since his boat capsized in an estuary north of Auckland on Saturday.
The man, believed to be aged between 24 and 26, was one of two men in a 2.5 metre inflatable boat when it flipped in Whangateau Harbour, near Leigh, east of Warkworth, around 11am on Saturday.
He was not wearing a life jacket at the time, and was described as wearing a heavy leather jacket.
The search for the missing man resumed this morning, Auckland Maritime Police duty sergeant John Saunders said.
The dive squad were due to re-enter the water at 7am.
