KEY POINTS:
A search is continuing today for a 19-year-old pig hunter missing near Nelson since yesterday.
Jake Anderson left his Stoke home at 12.15pm yesterday with two pigs dogs and headed to the Marsden Valley/Barnicoat Range area.
His two dogs returned two hours later but the teen, who was due back before nightfall, did not return.
Sergeant Mike Fitzsimons said Nelson Search and Rescue and Mr Anderson's family and friends searched for him overnight and continued this morning with the help of the Summit Rescue helicopter.
He described Mr Anderson as Maori, 175cm, of medium build, wearing a green Ridgeline hunting top, black trousers, white sneakers, a grey and brown woollen hat with ear flaps, a belt and knife.
He had with him a silver mountain bike with blue writing and no mudguards.
Police said they would like to hear of any sightings of Mr Anderston.
