Air New Zealand will unveil a sculpture this morning commemorating all the significant events in its history including the Erebus disaster and Perpignan crash.
Prime Minister John Key and airline chief Rob Fyfe will both speak at the ceremony at Air NZ's head office in Auckland.
Christchurch artist Phil Price designed the piece - Momentum - which will provide a focal point for reflection.
November 28 marks 30 years since flight TE901 crashed into Mt Erebus in Antarctica - all 237 passengers and 20 crew perished.
The day also marks a year since an Airbus A320 plunged into the Mediterranean, killing five New Zealanders and two Germans.
