A man charged with murder was tackled to the ground by courtroom guards after he thrashed about, screaming and swearing, during his brief court appearance in South Auckland today.
Bodi McKee, 23, was appearing Manukau District Court for the murder of Leslie Putt, 32, at a Manurewa, South Auckland, property on Saturday morning.
McKee became increasingly agitated and had to be tackled to the ground by courtroom guards who then took him back to his cell, Fairfax reported.
He was denied bail and ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, Fairfax reported.
Emergency services were called to a property on Winsford St in Manurewa about 7.15am on Saturday where they found Putt on the driveway with a gunshot wound.
