The "dream" home of slain Feilding farmer Scott Guy will probably become a rental, his father says.
Mr Guy died from multiple shotgun wounds in the driveway of his rural Feilding house on July 8. Police are still hunting for the 31-year-old's killer.
His father, Bryan Guy, told the Manawatu Standard his son's wife, Kylee Guy, had been staying with her mother in Hastings since her husband's death. She has said she may never return to what was their "dream" home, and Bryan Guy said it would probably be rented out.
"But we are not rushing into any decisions, and at the end of the day it's not my decision," he told the newspaper.
"She's [Kylee] not really coming over here too much because of all the memories."
Mrs Guy gave birth to the couple's second son, Drover Grahame Scott Guy, on September 16.
Bryan Guy saw them this week and said the baby was doing well.
"He's a real delight, there's no doubt about it," he said.
