The former home of murdered farmer Scott Guy is close to being sold.
His family are hopeful the sale of the four-bedroom home that Scott built for his family will be completed in the next few weeks.
The house is owned by a trust and most of the proceeds of the sale will go to Scott's widow Kylee and her young sons Hunter and Drover.
There have been several expressions of interest in the home, just outside Feilding, since it was put on the market at the start of the year.
One prospective buyer had tabled an offer and if accepted the sale would be completed soon.
Police returned to the Guy farm to continue searching on Thursday.
A spokeswoman refused to say what they were looking for or if they had found anything because the case was before the courts. Scott's brother-in-law Ewen Macdonald is accused of his murder.
Macdonald's lawyer, Greg King, said his client would fight the charge.
The Guy house is being marketed by Property Brokers, who asked for offers of $529,000.
Before Guy moved in with his family, the home was subject to a vandal attack.
The Property Brokers website said: "The owner of this outstanding lifestyle property situated on 11,116sq m on the outskirts of Feilding has relocated out of town and this much-loved family home is now offered for sale.
"Built in 2008 and completed in 2009, this beautifully designed home is like new."
It said the open plan kitchen, dining and family room boast "amazing panoramic views" of the rural landscape.
