The course was relatively quiet over the weekend but there were some good scores posted in the competitions.
Saturday's club competition was a par round, and the scoring was quite hot. Youngster Nikaya Graham led the way with a very good score of 11 up on par, which was two holes better than runner-up Kevin May, while Mark Logan took third place on 6 up.
An even par round from Ray Cocks for a five up tally was only good enough for fourth place, while Paul Croft took fifth place on 4 up, with another five players posting scores of three up.
Sunday's competition was a stableford round, which saw Nikaya Graham again at the top with 45 points, which was one point ahead of Alan Biel, while Anita Karaitiana scored 38.
Monday's competition was also a stableford round, which saw Graeme Dick and Paul Beech finish with 43 points, with Paul Haxton third on 39, while Kevin May had 37.
Tuesday saw the veterans playing in a medal round.
The top women's scores were the pair of 54 netts returned by Nooroa Rota in the first group and Janet Shaw in the second group. In the first group, the runner-up was Maria Lauvi on 57, followed by Janet Campbell and Yvonne Allsworth on 59.
In the second group, Judith O'Connor was the runner-up on 56 nett, with Cilva Richmond taking third place on 60.
In the men's competition, Meki Lauvi had the best score of 55 nett in winning the first group from Ray Loader on 56 and Allan Allsworth on 57. In the second group, Ian Gemmill took top billing with a 56 nett, which was one ahead of John Mudgway, while Trevor Oliver was third on 58.
The women's nearest to the pins went to Nooroa Rota on the third hole and Sue Ratapu on the sixth, while the men's on both the sixth and seventh holes went to Meki Lauvi.
Both Meki Lauvi and Pater Campbell scored holes in two.
This coming weekend has the men playing for the Brockett and Captains Trophies over both days.
The Brockett Trophy is for the best 36 hole gross score, and the Captains Trophy is for the best nett.
Coming up in just over two weeks is the Copthorne Solway Park Wairarapa Open Men's Fourball Best Ball tournament, played over 36 holes on November 14.
Entries for this event are being taken, with an entry sheet in the club house.
