A 16-year-old male cyclist who allegedly did a U-turn in front of a scooter got away without injuries while the scooter driver has a suspected broken ankle.
The 65-year-old scooter driver was heading north on Queen St yesterday when the cyclist going south turned, Constable Dana Johanson said.
The older man was taken to Wairarapa Hospital with minor injuries including a suspected broken ankle.
