Scooter and car collide

A man was taken to hospital with a broken leg after his scooter collided with a car in heavy rain in Mt Eden on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Bellevue and Sherbourne Rds just before 4pm. Debris and broken glass littered the road around the blue Nissan and black Honda motorcycle.

Paramedics attended to the scooter rider and he was taken to Auckland City Hospital.

Constable Stuart Mottashed of Balmoral said police would speak to both parties to establish what happened.
