Wairarapa U3A (University of the Third Age) is hosting GNS scientist Dr Robert Langridge (pictured) for a talk in Masterton on earthquake fault lines on July 24.
The GNS It's our Fault project is designed to inform people about faults, earthquakes and their impacts in their home areas, including Wairarapa.
Dr Langridge will discuss results of the project, the Wairarapa faultlines, hazards, engineering, civil defence and emergency plans, with question time afterwards.
The talk, at the Frank Cody Lounge in Masterton Town Hall from 1pm to 2.30pm, is free.
