Education Minister Chris Carter has ordered an urgent report into allegations of schoolyard sex, drinking and drug-taking at Hutt Valley High School in Lower Hutt.
Early this month police said an "extreme" bullying attack at the school had left one boy traumatised and six others facing court.
Reports of students as young as 13 having sex in the bushes and others drinking and smoking behind the school campus at lunchtime have also surfaced, the Sunday News has reported.
