School kid's planned party investigated

North Shore police are already making inquiries into another planned party which is expected to have more than one thousand attendees.

Newstalk ZB and the police have been alerted to the party - allegedly being planned by a Rangitoto College student for December 17.

The invite was posted on Facebook.

North Shore Police Commander Inspector Steve Kehoe says they've had a few tip-offs and will now be contacting the school and other parties.

He says he'll be making sure they have special resources available if anything occurs.
