KEY POINTS:
Education watchdogs have cleared the high school that employed a teacher caught filming foreign exchange students taking showers at his home.
The Ministry of Education has contacted Avondale College about the pastoral care of two Japanese girls who stayed with IT teacher Frank Glenski last year.
The Herald on Sunday last week revealed Glenski pleaded guilty to two charges of filming girls under the age of 16, and one count of possessing objectionable images on his computer.
A ministry spokesman said they spoke to principal Brent Lewis and were satisfied the school had followed correct procedures before the students were placed in Glenski's home.
Avondale College has taken exception to a comment in last week's newspaper that police would be investigating whether the school had fulfilled its requirements for pastoral care of foreign students.
On Wednesday, Superintendent Rob Abott said police had "no plans to make any further inquiry or investigation into any aspect involving international students studying at Avondale College".
Detective Stephen Waugh confirmed he had spoken with the Education Ministry last week. He had reviewed the code of practice for foreign students and was willing to hand over the Glenski prosecution file to the ministry.
