A cadre of Wairarapa College students have been rewarded for their hard work and leadership as Year 13 students as the school prepares for final exams and the students prepare for the next chapter in their lives.
Victoria University has awarded a $5000 Victoria Excellence scholarship to three students including deputy head girl Josie Major, Kaitlin Buick and Rachel Pilois, said teacher Suzanne Oliver.
Students won eligibility for the scholarships this year after gaining 62 Excellence grades at Level 2, she said, which was "an amazing achievement" for each of the successful students.
Also, Otago University has given a $5000 Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship to head boy Taylor Houston and deputy head boy Andrew Hull will be attending Lincoln University next year with a $5000 Future Leaders Scholarship.
