The Ruamahanga Ramblers held a run at the scenic Morison's Bush beside the Ruamahanga River last Saturday with fine weather and firm grassy underfoot conditions being enjoyed by 25 runners and walkers of all ages.
Jack Britland was first home in the 2.1km event, just holding off a fast-finishing Andrew Hyman by 4secs with Zac Vainu continuing to improve with a solid third.
In the 4.2km run, Michael Hyman finished in first place from Matthew Furkert and Rebecca Treacy.
The three-lap, 6.3km race was won by Hugh Taylor - who just made the start in the nick of time having detoured by mistake to Martinborough - with Paul Furkert second and Malcom MacDonald third.
