Wairoa gang members arrested after a violent brawl in which a man was allegedly shot in the face have been remanded in custody to appear in Gisborne District Court on Friday.
The Mongrel Mob members are charged with unlawful assembly.
They did not appear in court today and were further remanded in custody by consent.
Police and ESR specialists continued their scene examination of a Wairoa property following yesterday's shooting which left two people injured and 25 arrested on charges of unlawful assembly.
A 39-year-old man was flown to Hawke's Bay Regional Hospital yesterday with firearms injuries to his face.
His condition today was described as stable.
Gisborne area commander Inspector Sam Aberahama confirmed a second man, aged 42, was also shot in the incident.
He was flown to Hawke's Bay Regional Hospital today with firearms injuries to his head, arm and leg. His condition was not life threatening.
"This incident appears to be the result of an internal gang dispute, and does not involve rival groups," Mr Aberahama said.
"Our investigations into what happened and who was responsible are continuing."
Five firearms had been found so far which would need to be examined by a ballistics expert to establish if they were used in yesterday's shooting.
