• A text to several numbers, claiming to be from Red Bull, says: "Dear winner, have you received your payment from the bank? Let us know as soon as possible." This is best ignored.
• Another text has told people they have won millions of pounds but need to email their phone numbers to a Yahoo account in the name of "kevinsmith173" to claim it. This is another attempt to gather personal details.
• A business owner says they were contacted by "the World Trade Centre" offering them the opportunity to register free on the World Trade Register. They submitted an application form and were then sent an invoice for €995 for a one-year subscription.
• The IRD is worried about calls and emails to tell people they are owed a tax refund from the IRD, but that to claim it they must make a payment via Western Union.
