• What was the country code for Palau has become a scammers' favourite. URLs ending in .pw have been used in more scams over the past month, according to security corporation Symantec. Around Mother's Day, bogus offers of gifts were circulated and a survey offered a gift card if people handed over their personal details. Other .pw scams included emails with subject lines "how to sell your timeshare" and "refinance today, save tomorrow".
